Job Description

Reporting to the Studio Manager you’ll be responsible for prepping our products prior to live shows, flexing those creative muscles so that each product is displayed in a way to create the best visual impact (using whatever props you’d like to help). You’ll coordinate with the Line Producers, Presenters, Guests and Studio Managers; answering queries and ensuring the needs of each are met so that each show runs smoothly. You’ll also prep our on-air talent and make sure the sets look just right, based on the direction from our sets and props team.

This is a fast paced and diverse role and when we say that two days are never the same, we’re not kidding. We’re on air 24/7 and transmit 16 hours of live television every day between 9am and 1am so this role does involve shift work and weekends.

We’re looking for someone who ideally has a degree/diploma in Media Studies or equivalent, along with experience in a live studio environment. As you can see you’ll talk to a lot of different people as Studio Co-ordinator here, as a result strong communication skills is a must, both verbally and written.

Its fast paced and dynamic, so you will be dealing with multiple tasks on a daily basis, whilst keeping a calm clear head and demonstrating great attention to detail.

You may be asked to carry out adhoc duties as you manager requires.

Finally we like an accident-free studio, and so a good understanding of studio Health and Safety best practice is needed.

If you can see yourself thriving in a role like this we’d love to hear from you.
