Job Description

Be part of a winning team with a diverse culture that believes in supporting, mentoring, and training our staff. We are searching for an experienced Broadcast Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Primary duties include operating in Master Control, the Technical Operations Center, and Ingest.  
  • Master Control automation experience a must with an emphasis on switching live sports.  
  • Ensuring compliance with FCC regulations related to closed captioning, EAS, transmitters, text-to-speech, and the CALM Act. Live news experience is also including the ability to tuning in live shots via microwave, satellite, and bonded cellular are a must.  
  • Other duties include commercial and program ingest and segmentation as well as quality control of on-air signal.  
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Two years of college or technical school and two years of related experience required.  
  • The ability to work under tight timelines and high stress while maintaining an exceptional on-air product. Basic technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate issues to the Maintenance Engineers and supervisors. 
  • Must have knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking experience, and the ability to learn new applications and workflows quickly. 
  • Must work well with others in and out of the Engineering department and be able to communicate clearly in writing as well as in person.
