Temporary News Producer

We're looking for someone with a proven ability to create, produce and write news of the day. A journalist who is passionate about finding and showcasing unique content that connects with our communities.

Ideal candidates for this position should be excited by a variety of stories and storytelling techniques to create a balanced, exciting and informative show. Candidate should be a self-starter with a positive mindset ready to take on any challenges and find solutions in your work environment and community. Compensation Range: 24.00 - 28.00 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Line produce a newscast frequently
• React to breaking news and manage the show's timing
• Produce content for other newscasts
• Write content for 9News.com
• Be a leader in the newsroom

Job Requirements:

• College degree in journalism, communications or similar
• 1-3 years of full-time newscast producing experience

Work Environment: Office

Physical Demands: Sedentary work

Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
