Job Description
Evil Eye Pictures is looking for an accomplished FX Artist. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of fx pipelines in general and of the content creation pipeline in Unreal. The FX Artist will create multi-use, modular systems as well as unique FX work for a given story point. A level of technical knowledge combined with strong creative and visual instincts is critical.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Supervisors to design & build experiences in Unreal
Prototype and generate FX elements
Design Niagara & Cascade Systems in Unreal
Consider lighting and other integration techniques to the overall scene design
Create interaction and functionality with user settings
Collaborate, test new features, and provide useful feedback
Technical Requirements:
Experience working with Unreal Engine Niagara, and Cascade
Advanced experience with SideFX Houdini
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good team player with great attitude, dependable and flexible
Takes direction well and exercises close attention to detail
Bonus (Not essential to the role but would help differentiate candidates):
Experience working with Unreal Engine Materials, Blueprints and Sequencer
Optimize content through profiling and enhancing performance with the help of diagnostic tools
Scripting & programming skills with Python, C#, Javascript and C++
