Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Capture visual content and edit long-form stories and content
- Work with producers, multi-media journalists and photojournalists to ensure a high quality product consistent with the shows brand
- Responsible for operating various equipment, including but not limited to video camera and video editing equipment
- Maintain video archive filing system
- Gathers story related materials (sound and video) on a timely basis.
- Coordinates remote and studio events, creating synergy between remote and studio productions
- Collaborates with field teams and affiliates on breaking stories, sharing of information
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Proficiency in non-linear, editing, including Final Cut Pro
- Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
- Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to the Web site
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Self-starter, ability to work in a team environment, performing wide range of functions in a boundary-less way
- Able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Associate's degree in journalism or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in related field preferred
