Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced 3D Lighting & Compositing Artist to join our Charlotte's Web crew!
You’ll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing some of the world’s most recognizable and beloved children’s properties including the smash hit PAW Patrol, Mattel’s Ever After High, and its own line up of successful originals True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Pikwik Pack, Justin Time and its newest original comedy-adventure Big Blue with CBC Kids, not to mention Mecha Builders, the first Sesame Street animated spin-off for HBO Max. Guru Studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner, which brought the rich ‘story world’ sequences to life.

Responsibilities:
- Use existing light rigs to generate a set volume of shots per week
- May need to light sets from scratch using clean and efficient light setups
- Work within compositing to reach the desired look
- Occasionally work with the technical staff to solve rendering / lighting scene issues
- Communicate directly with the Lighting & Compositing Supervisor
Qualifications:
- 2+ yrs as an experienced Lighting Artist in animated television and/or film
- Proficient in shot based lighting
- Strong understanding of what is capable in compositing to reach the intended look
- Knowledge of shaders, and their impact on render times
- A solid portfolio highlighting composition and artistic skills
- A strong portfolio that shows the ability to generate well lit and balanced imagery
- Fundamental knowledge of composting in Nuke required
