Job Description

The After Effects Compositor role is to communicate with the After Effects Comp leadership team to provide compositing for episodic television productions.

Production:  Archer

Estimated start: Mid April

Hourly range: $26.00-29.00

Responsibilities
  • Working consistently with the department Director and Leads to support them in any way needed. 
  • Watching through episodes and wrangling/transcribing notes for the animation department. 
  • Communicate any large notes with the Animation Director and Leads
  • Notes Management
  • Checking input in Ftrack and scene information
  • Animating lip sync when needed
  • Communicate effectively with the production team
  • Reworking and adjusting scenes based on feedback and notes from supervisors, Art Direction or Producers
  • Other duties as assigned
Desired Skill Set & Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in compositing and VFX experience is preferred
  • Strong demo reel and resume showcasing your compositing skills
  • Strong understanding of After Effects and the tools to meet goals
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) are required
  • Proficiency in cinematic lighting, and how shadows work in the real world
  • Keen observational skills using real world references.
  • Ability to analyze visual elements and make them consistent throughout
  • Strong artistic skills and an understanding of visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in animating camera movement in 2d and 3d space
  • Utilization of 3D assets
  • Basic understanding of traditional animation principles (understanding push and pull, weight, physics, etc)
  • Well-versed in all aspects of the animation pipeline.
  • Ability to contribute effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, but successful working on your own with clear direction
  • Great problem-solving skills for both artistic and technical needs
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Positive team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in Character Animation is a plus
Requirements: 
  • Must be currently living in the state of Georgia. (no exceptions)
  • Must be able to provide authorization to work in the US.
  • Must be able to provide proof of COVID vaccination and boosters.
