Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage grade directories and files for all output formats and deliverables, Domestic and International (2D/3D Digital Cinema, 2D/3D Extended Dynamic Range [EDR], High Dynamic Range [HDR], Standard Dynamic Range [SDR], High Definition [HD] as needed)
- Render shots and reels according to appropriate format specs
- Record relevant information during grading sessions in order to track individual grades and iterations per shot
- Quality Control [QC] of all materials
- Collaborate with Department Director and Digital Intermediate Supervisor regarding schedule, logistics, and content updates
- Solid grasp of directory and file management as it pertains to shot and frame-based media
- Knowledge of Digital/Video output formats and file formats, as well as EDLs/cutlists/filmlogs and aspect ratios/resolutions
- Basic knowledge of various Color Grading platforms preferred
- Understanding of Color Correction theory and techniques preferred for better quality control and grade tracking & management
- Knowledge of a Post Production pipeline for both theatrical and non-theatrical
- Understanding of Master Control Room/Video Machine Room functions helpful
- Operate A/V equipment in support of color grading sessions & reviews
- Keen attention to detail
- Knowledge or understanding of UNIX commands necessary
- Basic Mac/PC/Linux literacy preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least two years experience with post production environments
- Ability to remain poised in a dynamic environment
