Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience handling the logistics of running an efficient set during production. This person will work hand in hand with the pre-production team and Director to manage the schedule on-set and ensure all necessary shots are completed on time. Strong organization and unwavering attention to detail is a must. This position often requires working long hours including nights and weekends. Since we are a mission-led company and all of the content we create inspires people, the right candidate will find the long hours to be exciting and highly satisfying!

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
  • Supporting the crew to ensure they stay on time with the projected schedule
  • Breaking down the script and planning for efficiency on set 
  • Creating solutions under pressure when unexpected things happen on set
  • Finding efficiencies on set that can help the crew stay on schedule
  • Acting as primary contact for actors
  • Communicating directors needs to team and ensure those needs are completed
  • Overseeing set resets
  • Ensuring equipment is returned following productions
  • Confirming late crew/actors and providing weekly lists to Production Sr Manager
  • Creating equipment lists with input from Director
  • Performing actors wrap procedure with crew Security
  • Advising Production Assistants when talent is needed
  • Ensuring the general safety on set 
WHAT YOU HAVE:
  • 2+ years of experience in pre-production cycle within the entertainment industry 
  • Proficient with Excel, Google Sheets, and Docs; Monday.com and Skype experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet deadlines
  • Ability to enforce the schedule in a kind and professional manner
WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Assistant Director will report directly to the Production Senior Manager

WHO YOU OVERSEE:
Currently, the Assistant Director has no personnel reporting directly to him or her

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
All the action takes place at our BRAND NEW studio in Burbank, CA

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
This is a full-time role that will require at times long hours, schedule flexibility will be discussed during the interview
