Job Description
They will also work closely with the News Director, overseeing Special Projects and our 7-man Investigative Team. The right candidate will have proven, tested news judgment and the leadership qualities necessary to direct a 50-plus member news team.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Lead our daily coverage - engage with producers, multi-media journalists, digital producers and anchors to deliver compelling content to all platforms
* Oversee Special Projects
* Direct our Investigative Team
* Lead winning Breaking News and Weather coverage
* Administrative duties - scheduling
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Must be able to be calm and decisive in high-stress situations
* Proven management and people skills required to direct staff
* Must be able to work flexible and extended hours as necessary
* Drug screen and driver background check required
