Key Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, an Assistant Project Manager will perform the following duties:
• Assist with the identification, impact assessment, and disposition of project changes;
• Present reports on project status, risks, opportunities, and issues for escalation to Senior Leadership;
• Produce and quality check routine and ad hoc reporting;
• Understand project scoping documents, deliverables, and plans;
• Lead development of project scope and ensure schedule and budget are appropriately quantified;
• Assist in development of the project delivery strategy on small projects;
• Assist in determining mitigations for variances to project plan and required corrective actions;
• Collaborate with internal and external organizations including project team, creative and design studios, operations, municipalities, vendors, and contractors;
• Support preparation of contract documents for bid packages;
• Ensure the implementation the integrated input matrix and track project deliverables;
• Collect, assemble, quality check, and produce project documentation related to PM activities and ensure overall project documentation program is implemented;
• Understand project workflows, design inputs and outputs, and project sequencing relationships;
• Participate in the identification and assessment of project risk and contingency determinations;
• Document project lessons learned and best practices;
• Demonstrate qualities of team leadership within assignment. May oversee interns, associates, or coordinators.
Desired Qualifications:
• 4 year undergraduate degree, preferably in a technical field such as engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent work experience in project management, Master Degree preferred;.
• Ability to think tactically and utilize basic problem solving skills;
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and partnering ability;
• Meeting leadership, facilitation, basic conflict resolution, and alignment skills;
• Excellent communication, collaboration, technical writing, and interpersonal skills. Fluent bilingual working language;.
• Good knowledge of design, production, and/or construction;
• Understanding of the relationship between scope, cost, and schedule and implications of impact of one to the other;
• Understanding of contract administration, contract management, legal and commercial terms, and basic negotiation skills;
• Understand basic design drawings;
• Understanding of baseline plans and change management;
• Knowledge of themed entertainment and Disney preferred;
• High stress tolerance;
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience;
• Themed entertainment experience preferred;
• Bilingual ability is essential . essential.
