The BET Digital Operations team manages all of the processes for BET.com, BET Now App, Social including VH1.com and VH1 App.  We are responsible for reviewing and implementing new products, updating new technology, scheduling content programming and more.  We work with all departments within BET Media Group and Paramount Global.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn the BET.com Content Management System and produce daily content.
  • Learn the programming lifecycle for BET.com, BET Now App, VH1.com and VH1 App.
  • Learn the Wrike and Jira for digital ticketing requests.
  • Create and manage departmental project plan and timeline.
  • Create and manage departmental trackers.
  • Work closely with technology team on website features and updates.
  • Help monitor projects, proactively evaluating and reporting progress and potential roadblocks.
  • Work alongside the digital team to ensure clear and frequent communication throughout the project life cycle using email/Slack status updates, document sharing, meeting recaps, etc.
  • Help facilitate, along with digital team, project kickoffs, project reviews, and work sessions.
  • Create and draft documents including presentations, memos, and spreadsheets. 
  • Compile and publish weekly project status reports for leadership and project sponsors, project teams and other key project stakeholders. 
  • Other duties pertinent to digital as assigned. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Interest in technology products and building high-quality customer experiences.
  • Interest in digital product marketing, data analytics, or project management.
  • Strong foundational project management skills and principles, including scope, schedule, resource, and risk management. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Highly developed attention to detail even under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and improve on current abilities.
  • Experience with and working knowledge of office support software, including the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Experience or working knowledge of project management software such as Smartsheet, Confluence, Slack Jira, and Wrike."
