Description
- Our growing radio cluster, KFAX, KDOW, KDIA, 860AM The Answer, and Gospel1190, needs someone who has radio board operating experience and experience producing a commercial talk radio program and the ability to multi-task and handle production duties.
- Performing activities in the radio studio and control room to ensure technical quality of sound for programs originating in the studio from syndications or from remote pickup points.
Qualifications
- Experience with Wide Orbit Automation Systems preferred, as is experience with digital editing in programs such as Adobe Audition.
- Close attention to FCC rules and transmitter readings will be conducted throughout shift.
- All candidates must be team players with strong moral character and integrity.
- Responsible for on-air elements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Regulates timing of programs, operates syndicated programming and plays commercials.
- Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers.
- Monitors and updates weather, traffic, and news reports into automation equipment.
- Performs on-air announcements or shifts as assigned.
- Assist with remote appearances
- Takes transmitter readings and maintains transmitter logs
- Other duties to be assigned
