PLEASE NOTE - While this job can be done remotely, client relations and communication with studio leadership and teams is paramount for this position. The ability to work within local timezone schedules and advanced English skills are required for this position.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create high-level CG imagery for use in various client projects
  • Oversee and guide all tasks associated with the game development process, including animation, modeling, rigging, texturing, shading, lighting, rendering, effects, scripting, etc
  • Supervise your team of artists to deliver the expected and desired work for projects on time, and be part of the teaching and mentoring process of those under you
  • Maintains constant communication with Producers on project progress to identify and troubleshoot issues, and ensure that deadlines are met while maintaining a consistent, high-level of quality
  • Works with other Supervisors and Team Leads to develop strong and flexible CG pipelines, and effectively manage the technical needs and resources of your teams
  • Attend bidding sessions with Production and provide precise and accurate bids
  • Develop workflow procedures to complete the project within allotted timelines and budget
  • Work with the project team to present creative concepts and design solutions to clients
  • Analyzes creative problems and devise solutions to ensure what is achievable within the project scope
  • Actively participate in the recruiting, interviewing, and staffing of the teams working under you and other departments
  • Attend dailies, interviews, administrative and managerial meetings as required
  • Stay current with industry trends and latest technologies and apply them to improve animation production
Necessary Skills and Experience:
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in VFX and Games
  • Expert knowledge of VR/AR, Unreal and Unity game engines, and real-time rendering
  • Deep understanding of all parts of a VFX and game production pipeline, including (but not limited to) concept and design, modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, FX and simulations, and rendering for both film and real-time
  • Knowledge of 3D Software programs including such as Adobe Suite, Substance Suite, Maya, Blender, zBrush, Unreal, Unity, Arnold, V-Ray, and other post production software
  • High level of technical ability or knowledge of programming in C++, Python, and other relevant coding languages used in VFX and Games
  • A track record of leading a team of artists and creatives, while working with clients and producers to deliver high quality products on time and within budget
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, note interpretation, and able to translate both technical and artistic needs into actionable tasks
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and deadline conscious
  • Can quickly adapt to changing priorities or new technology or processes as required
  • Native or fluent level skill in spoken and written English is required for this position
Plus Skills:
  • Previous work in released VR, AR, or AAA games and experiences
  • Prior experience leading teams or departments in a CG environment
  • Experience with ShotGrid, Trello, Google Suite, and other admin software
  • Background or experience with traditional/physical media styles as well (color theory, sculpting, photography, etc)
