Job Description

Reporting to the VP, Business Development & Partnerships, the Commercial Director, will be responsible for leading and supporting commercial initiatives within Paramount Television International Studios & TIS by generating and facilitating Spanish and Portuguese content sales, originals and coproduction opportunities worldwide, with a focus in Latin America, as well as other revenue streams such as production services and facilities rentals. The Commercial Director will need to work collaboratively with other revenue generating teams to deliver consistently against the studio’s business plan and budget, maximizing exploitation and profitability for the Paramount Television International Studios (PTIS) catalog as well as for the Telefe and TIS libraries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the commercial division within PTIS and TIS, securing revenue opportunities for content distribution, originals, co-productions, production services and facilities rentals.
• Manage and keep in constant contact with all key buyers and producers, pitching catalog and developments for both Spanish and Portuguese speaking television, digital and coproduction clients.
• Seek business development and partnership opportunities in order to achieve sales targets and support can and format sales, contributing to the generation of YoY growth of the business.
• Track contract and delivery of materials and ensure timely and efficient delivery to clients to meet their deadlines.
• Manage the participation process to ensure PTIS is receiving revenue from third party distributors as well as participating partners as needed.
• Lead and support the development of Ultimate Revenue Models (URMs) given market knowledge, historical sales and sales executives support in order to project potential sales of upcoming productions.
• Develop and execute concrete market, content and LRP strategies that lead to revenue-generating and successful production opportunities.
• Create sales presentations, for internal as well as for external clients, including understanding development materials, summarizing information, gathering key facts, and working with designers when applicable.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in sales and/or co-production negotiations.
• Solid experience in television/media industry.
• Ability to individually manage solutions to extremely complex problems while providing concise and well-structured information for decision-making.
• Native Bilingual Proficiency (both English and Spanish/Written & Oral).
• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Smartsheet and Salesforce a plus.
• Travel to key markets (i.e. MIPCOM, Natpe, MIPCANCUN etc.) expected along
