Job Description

You will report to the Manager of Creative Costuming.

This is a temporary assignment with no guarantee of permanent placement.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to ensure costume quality and design is maintained
  • Work with Designers to identify fabrics, trims and all garment accessories factoring in climate, safety, and functionality
  • Coordinate fittings with Entertainment and Workroom personnel
  • Document Costumes and Production process in several formats for history and analysis
  • Source new vendors for materials and finished goods, attend trade shows to keep up on the latest in costume production
  • Manage and mentor Front Line Cast, coaching them through their show responsibilities and supervising their development
  • Monitor show quality through Cast feedback and periodic assessments
  • Give direction on how to send costumes to be cleaned
  • Communicate daily with Entertainment Show Producers, Directors, Designers, and Entertainment and Costuming Operations Leaders
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience the Theater, Film or Fashion Industry
  • An affinity for organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Office Suite programs
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Networking and partnering skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Flexibility with work schedules, including extended hours and holidays
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in sourcing and purchasing
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with SAP Casual Buyer & Concur
Required Education
  • High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Costuming, Costume design, Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Fine Arts or 5 years’ experience in a Costuming role
