We currently have the deep need for a full-time designer who will execute a large volume of work that TCM requires for programming, events, marketing, HBO Max initiatives and other projects.

Job Description

The ideal person has a strong design aesthetic that is top-notch—someone that we can trust that everything they touch will be brand-right and without errors.  The designer can concept ideas and consistently bring innovative design solutions to the table. This person also has a deep knowledge of design principles and applies these principles diligently to their work.

Duties
  • Design environmental and out-of-home graphics
  • Design key art campaigns for tentpole programming, initiatives, and partnerships
  • Design digital assets for HBO Max and support the KYAC DE team with social media and other digital needs
  • Collaborate with marketing and motion graphics team to ensure that campaigns are cohesive
  • Logo development for various programming or events
  • Retouching and clipping out photos of talent for use in various campaigns
  • Updating and resizing existing materials
  • Design presentation decks for high-level leadership presentations
  • Design merchandise and other marketing materials for events
  • Collaborate with creative director and art director to develop concepts for new projects
  • Develop mood boards
Requirements
  • 3-5 years work experience as a graphic/print designer
  • Adept at typography and layout
  • Portfolio of completed design projects
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop [image editing, retouching, clipping]
  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign [layouts and typography]
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator [creating/manipulating vector graphics and logos]
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
  • Attention to visual details
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
  • Degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
  • Firm understanding of the print and production process 
Ideally
  • Desire to stay abreast of industry trends, new practices, design/production tools and advertising platforms
  • Experienced problem-solver with the ability to understand storytelling and marketing strategies
  • Ability to translate conceptual ideas into creative solutions
  • Comfort articulating design concepts to other team members
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Passion for design, marketing, classic films, and entertainment
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and has strong interpersonal skills
