Job Description

Responsible for generating and producing editorial content designed for live and linear programming.  Writes, produces and edits assigned stories on all national brand platforms.  May assist in channel programming. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Researches and writes stories and segments as assigned
  • Brainstorms and pitches compelling and innovating story ideas
  • Develops multiple presentation options of assigned stories to deliver nuanced context ensuring all angles of a story are covered
  • Produces content for all platforms
  • May anchor/host stories and segments for live or linear programming as assigned
  • Assist in coverage of major news events or breaking news to ensure high quality consistent community coverage
  • Meets or exceeds established deadlines to ensure high-speed, high-quality content delivery
  • Perform other duties as needed
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelors Degree preferred or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Previous video editing experience preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional contributor with ability to work with a team
  • Self-starter, who can independently perform assignments with limited instruction
  • Mastery of the theories and applications of professional journalism
