Job Description

The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Communications department is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated intern for the digital team. The candidate must be comfortable with tight deadlines, extremely detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task and thrive in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Projects include working with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, maintaining and uploading content to internal and external-facing corporate websites, and other projects as needed for various internal clients. The Disney Corporate Creative Resources (DCCR) Digital Production Intern will play a big role in supporting the Digital team. 

On any one day, you might…
  • Work with editorial and project management teams to update and manage content on multiple websites including TheWaltDisneyCompany.com, D23.com, and The Walt Disney Archives
  • Be involved with managing and preparing media assets and creating web pages through WordPress
  • Code HTML emails and web pages
  • Create and update events on our internal event registration platform
What you bring to the role…
  • Experience in HTML Web page and/or email creation
  • Strong familiarity with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, responsive design, mobile web apps, native apps)
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other image-editing software
  • Basic knowledge of video encoding software
  • Familiarity with jQuery and other JS libraries
  • Proven ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Quick learner with the ability to take direction, work under pressure, and operate as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and organization, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Familiarity of The Walt Disney Company brand and its businesses
Required Education:
  • A junior, senior, or recent graduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic design, or a closely related field
Internship Eligibility:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at the time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Internship Program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) Disney College Programs or Disney Internship Programs
Additional Information:
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 – June 2024
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to provide own housing and transportation for work in the Glendale, CA area. Also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace

The pay rate for this internship in California is $35.00 per hour.
