Job Description

FOX Sports is seeking a Director, Brand Marketing & Strategic Planning.  This role will directly support the Vice President, Brand Marketing.  As a Brand Director, we are looking for a candidate who can provide strategic marketing experience, leadership, creativity, and innovative expertise and who has acquired a solid reputation for effective marketing campaigns.  The ideal candidate is skilled in developing collaborative partnerships with key internal and external partners, relationship building, account management, and multi-platform marketing initiatives.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives for key sports properties including defining the brand positioning, target audience, key messaging, and overall marketing plan
  • Plan and execute campaigns and promotions that drive brand awareness, engagement, and viewership including collaborating with on-air promos, production, PR, digital, media, and creative teams to develop compelling 360 campaigns
  • Manage relationships and processes with key internal departments (on-air creative, programming, digital/social, PR, sales, research, distribution partners, affiliate stations, FOX Deportes) for day-to-day operations and long-range planning
  • Work alongside our research group to understand viewer preferences, behavior, and trends to help inform content development and brand strategies to effectively reach and engage the target audience
  • Monitor the performance of on-air branding initiatives, track key metrics, and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of brand campaigns including making data-driven decisions and adjustments to optimize brand strategies and improve results
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and challenges for the brand to help in developing strategies that differentiate the company's brand and maintain a competitive edge
  • Stay up to date on pop culture and trends and recommend non-traditional news-making activities and PR stunts
  • Lead a team in the concept development of key brand deliverables (e.g., research insights, tactical plans, media buying deliverables, brand performance metrics, etc.) idea conception, development, and execution of campaigns that meet network objectives and help create custom opportunities for the brand
  • Organize and contribute to weekly planning meetings with cross-functional teams (Media, Programming, Production, Affiliate) to ensure alignment on plans and initiatives
  • Establish strong and collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners
  • Oversee activation campaigns from conception to completion, managing the entire process from strategy to execution
  • Generate innovative ideas for influencers, activations, and digital content
  • Coordinate events of varying scales
  • Conceptualize and create ground-up experiences, ensuring tangible results, viral impact, or business growth
  • Provide detailed performance analysis of all marketing plans and initiatives pre/post-event
  • Work with the Media team on media efforts
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 8+ years of experience in sports marketing, entertainment marketing, and project management
  • Knowledge/experience in television and broadcasting
  • Ability to manage internal and external cross-functional relationships and partnerships
  • Ability to manage and influence other managers and professionals
  • Ability to identify and support opportunities for continued improvement across business
  • Sports knowledge

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $140,000.00-172,000.00 annually for California.
