Job Description

BET+, a fast growing Paramount streaming service with tons of classic TV shows and movies, a growing library of originals, and the entire Tyler Perry Collection, is looking for a Director of Product Management to continue to drive its massive growth across both its Roku and many WCTV applications.

We are seeking a Director which will be a critical member of the BET+ Product Team and partner closely with Paramount Streaming product, engineering and design teams, as well as BET+ brand partners, to identify key opportunities for continued platform growth and new features in development. This is a pivotal role for a self starter leader with vision and play a huge part in the continued growth of BET+.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Partner with the VP of Product to drive the strategy and roadmap for BET+ across both Roku and WCTV, the latter which continues to grow in terms of brand platforms.
  • Own and define features across all BET+ platforms and drive the vision and key decisions for those features throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Be the go-to expert for the Roku and WCTV platforms, developing a deep knowledge of existing capabilities and future opportunities. This includes acting as the BET+ platform leader in key meetings with our business partners.
  • Partner with the Product Insights lead to identify growth opportunities and optimize the BET+ customer experience across these platforms.
  • Serve as Product Lead for the BET+ Roku and WCTV scrum teams, driving sprint planning, feature refinement and backlog grooming sessions.
  • Define and perform UAT, sign off on features and prioritize bugs and post-launch improvements.
  • Present demos and key takeaways to BET+ brand and product leadership.
  • Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
What you bring to the team:
You have –
  • 5+ years of previous experience software product management in a complex technical environment.
  • Experience building and launching video products on CTV platforms.
  • A proven understanding of the superb customer experience that CTV offers and an eye for recognizing the best UX to meet customer needs.
  • Exposure working with agile scrum teams and working closely with engineering teams to deliver meaningful consumer-facing features.
  • Deep understanding of key performance metrics tied to customer acquisition and retention.
  • Strong knowledge of SVOD streaming landscape.
  • A self-starter mentality with an impeccable attention to detail!
  • Skilled in analyzing complex data to find opportunities to deliver increased value to users.
  • Ability to balance day-to-day scrum team responsibilities with long-term thinking on what’s next.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively reach a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
You might also have –
  • Experience with subscription and commerce products or familiarity with other streaming devices.
  • Engineering or technical background.
  • Scrum Product Owner certification.
  • BA / BS or equivalent field experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $175,000.00 - 195,000.00.
