Job Description

Marvel seeks a qualified candidate for an administrative assistant role providing support to 3 executives: the Head of Global Franchise, Marvel, the VP, Brand & Creative Operations & the Director of Themed Entertainment Development.

The ideal candidate will perform a variety of administrative duties, which include handling a heavy volume of scheduling, booking travel arrangements, preparing, and submitting expense reports, special projects, and other coordination tasks. This entry level opportunity will provide the candidate with exposure to many different business functions as well as people within the organization. The role is a unique chance to learn about different roles and teams which will assist in their future career goals and trajectory.

Having the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication and a team player attitude are key factors that will distinguish a superior candidate.

Responsibilities:
  • Set, manage, and maintain executive calendars, including virtual meetings and in-person events.
  • Coordinate and manage business travel arrangements and expenses for the department.
  • Support global cross-functional alignment, collaboration, and execution across Marvel and Disney.
  • Support general franchise team workflow and project planning.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Programs a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, etc.).
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Genuine interest in and knowledge of the Marvel brand is preferred, but not required.
  • Strategic critical thinker and problem solver, with a strong mind for details.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Assumes challenges and has a willingness to learn new things.
Preferred Education: 
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in New York is $40,000 to $60,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week.
