Job Description
Pixar is looking for a qualified Facilities Technician to join the team for approximately 6 months. This position works on a team that maintains and repairs Pixar’s campus structures, equipment, and grounds. The person(s) in this role are responsible for assembling, moving, and installing furniture and artwork, as well as performing in-house moves with minimal supervision. In addition, this role oversees the warehouse and inventory of office equipment and assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform basic trade work such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair, or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures
- Make periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work requirements
- Install and/or break down modular office furniture
- Follow work from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches
- Install ergonomic equipment
- Partner with vendors and repair personnel as necessary
- Work alongside special events crew for last minute repair, decorations, and/or furniture set up and break down
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and iCal
- Proficient with power tools
- Understand and emulate proper shop etiquette
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Willingness to take initiative and resolve problems
- Ability to work in all levels of the organization
- Possess adaptability and adeptness in handling last minute tasks
- Ability to work well independently within a fast paced, dynamic, deadline oriented environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $52,870.00 to $68,420.00 per year.
