Job Description
The Fashion Stylist helps to create the concept and mage of product lines presentations and carries out vision of the HSN brand.
Job Duties
- Provides direction to the models during live shows (headset contact with producer and crew etc.).
- Selects the most appropriate pieces from collections and ranges for the live show – helps to create the concept of product lines and execute the vision for our partners and vendors.
- Styles wardrobe looks and design attractive outfits for multiple departments within HSN; live show, ecommerce, content shoots social shoots.
- Preps clothing as needed, pulling, accessorizing, ironing, steaming etc.
- Attends pre-production meetings for all live shows.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Communicates with producers, reviews flow sheets prior to airtime, and suggests changes based on presentation needs.
- Manages inventory and consigns products (accessories and clothing) according to show needs.
- Communicates effectively and clearly to direct models during the live show.
- Maintains a neat and organized wardrobe area.
- Sends shift recap reports daily.
- Keeps up to date with emerging fashion trends, styles, and designs; stay current on contemporary styles.
- Understands who our core customer is and can identify how to style her. Able to diversely style models with different body types and appropriate for age demographic.
- Completes assigned requisitions – receiving & returns.
- Supports Show Hosts and establishes consistent clear communications.
- Reinforces Show Hosts personal brand image developed by the On-Air Manager.
- Partners with merch on show initiatives and maintaining buyer’s samples.
- Selects Tier Sheets for model specific on-air look.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on fashion or visual retail experience (including schoolwork)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Works well individually and as part of a team, collaboration is important with our role.
- Must be able to comprehend instruction both written and oral.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Adaptable and creative styling abilities to stay on brand.
- Must be able to lift boxes up to 50lbs, pull and push racks.
- Preferred: Degree in Fashion Design or related degree with experience in runway coordination, visual merchandising, or fashion styling.
Schedule:
Flexible scheduling: days, nights, weekends (earliest shift begins at 4am, latest shift ends at 3am.
