Job Description
Responsibilities
- Teach 3-5 Post-Production pathway courses in an academic year
- Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi and online student learning management system (D2L)
- Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades
- Adopt and implement common course objectives
- Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes
- Manage post-production instructors on all curriculum and content matters, i.e.
- Standardized syllabi that align to industry needs
- Standardized curriculum and instructional materials for each course in learning management system, D2L
- Work with instructors and GFA Production team to secure all necessary systems and supplies for courses, i.e. Avid books, etc.
- Consult with GFA Academics and Production teams on course scheduling to ensure availability of systems
- Reflect and lead collaborative trainings to continue to improve course delivery and optimal results for certification(s)
- Report/work closely with the Director of Academic Affairs to manage the Post-Production EDU Program
- Report/work closely with Production team to communicate all facility and technical matters, including for remote instruction
- Help locate and/or train future post-production full full time and adjunct instructors and certify or coordinate certification, as needed
- Lead curriculum development for new courses in the post-production pathway and/or assist in locating, hiring and collaborating with consultants for syllabi and curriculum creation outside area of expertise
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred, but not required:
- ACI certification
- Teaching experience
- College degree
- Management experience
- Curriculum development experience
