Job Description

The Walt Disney Animations Studios is seeking a forward thinking, motivated, HR Coordinator who is interested in gaining valuable business experience and the opportunity to hone their HR skills by supporting the employees and HR team. This role will report to the VP, Human Resources and the Sr Manager Business Partner. The ideal candidate will possess a polished, proactive, resourceful and flexible demeanor, and successfully manage this role by applying critical thinking skills and developing strong partnerships throughout the organization.  

What You Will Do 
  • Support HR employee life-cycle processes (onboarding, exits, promotions, etc) through administrative and organizational tasks 
  • Collaborate with HR team to creatively solve problems and assist clients 
  • First contact for the HR email alias to answer general HR questions and assist/solve/elevate employee requests and concerns. 
  • Manage & support HR administrative work (data analysis, movie credits, leadership surveys, visa process,etc) through creating reports and presentation decks, organizing information and adding input. 
  • Own, analyze, recommend and develop processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of HR administrative work. 
  • General coordinator support for all HR functions (Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition teams etc.) on projects/tasks. 
  • Provide high caliber administrative support to the VP, Human Resources. Work closely with the executive assistants to successfully and tactfully manage the calendar and time (proactively manage calendar, schedule conference, meetings, HR events, anticipate issues and resolve promptly; identify applicable materials/files for meetings); 
  • Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents 
  • Create a positive environment for all who interact with the office and team; 
Required Qualifications & Skills  
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written; including crafting email communications and preparing presentation decks. 
  • Strong people skills, including relationship building and collaboration, and the ability to work exceptionally well with key stakeholders at all level of the organization, 
  • Highly skilled in meeting deadlines, prioritizing work and driving quality results; 
  • Approaches work with a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and strong follow-up skills; 
  • Maintains a positive, professional demeanor under pressure and is resourceful and flexible 
  • Ability to manage complex office administrative work requiring the use of independent judgment and initiatives and the ability to change course of action quickly. 
  • Approaches work with a strong sense of purpose, competence, authority and compassion; Regularly applies critical thinking to understanding and resolving issues; 
  • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Google calendar/documents, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday, and SAP
Preferred Qualifications  
Previous experience in Human Resources 

Education  
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $50,200 to $64,100 per year.
