Job Description

The Modeling Lead is crucial for making sure their part of the project runs smoothly. They oversee daily tasks and work closely with stakeholders to match creative direction and style. They also help shape the creative process, guiding their team to maintain quality and stick to deadlines. Alongside leading, they use their expertise to improve project execution, bridging the gap between creative ideas and technical skill. 

What you’ll be doing: 
  • Provide oversight, feedback and guidance for Modeling work 
  • Establish and maintain Modeling style and vision in collaboration with the Director and Production team 
  • Mentor and support artists, including onboarding new talent 
  • Coordinate task assignments based on artists' skills and oversee team assignments 
  • Participate in Modeling reviews with the Director 
  • Develop and enhance Modeling workflows and procedures 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for inter-departmental communication and maintain documentation for the team and department 
What you’ll bring: 
  • 5+ years of experience in Modeling, in the animation industry   
  • Experience as a Modeling Lead in the animation industry a benefit 
  • High technical proficiency in all aspects of modeling (organic and hard surface) 
  • Demonstrates strong sculpting skills 
  • Ability to interpret designs and relay to the team  
  • Traditional art skills a benefit 
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills 
  • Excellent visual skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to receive creative direction and feedback 
  • Strong time management skills 
  • Ability to train and guide a team of professionals 
Salary Range $1800 - $2000 CAD Weekly
