Job Description
NBC News Operations and Technology is seeking a Lighting Operator for its Englewood Cliffs facility. This individual would be a part of the daily lighting maintenance and execution. The role reports to the Supervising Lighting Designer.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute show lighting cues for live and taped programming
- Work with video shading and production crews to maintain and develop highest quality video output
- Liaise with Englewood Cliffs Facilities, Engineering and Electrical teams
- Lighting design for all EC facility studios and on-site productions
- Design console interface management
- Maintain documentation of studio positions and cues
- Work with directors and production teams on show blocking
- Work with leadership, show directors and editorial to ensure talent and guests are properly lit
- Maintenance of the lighting shop and lighting room
- Manage fixture and expendable inventory
- Maintain lighting console, racks, and network
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will be a creative contributor to our productions.
What You Must Have:
- This is a full-time on-site position
- 5+ years of hands-on lighting experience
- Must be studio lift certified
