Job Description

We at Fox 61 News (WTIC/WCCT Hartford, CT) are seeking a Part-Time Connecticut Lottery Broadcast Director for the daily and nightly Connecticut state lottery drawings. This position is based in Hartford, CT. This role is a non-management, part-time, hourly, and non-union position.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all responsibilities for both live and taped productions
  • Knowledge of studio lighting techniques desirable
  • Ability to simultaneously direct, mix audio, and operate robotic cameras for the lottery drawings
  • Post lottery drawings to the Connecticut State Lottery’s website
  • Prep content and send to a centralized hub location for air
  • Candidate will also be assigned other duties as needed in the production, engineering, and news departments.
Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must be licensed by the state of Connecticut and must be willing to comply with all rules and regulations set forth by the Connecticut Lottery Cooperation
  • Candidate must be willing to work at least 20 hours / per week and must have availability on early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Minimum 1-year studio and/or remote production experience with a broadcast or production facility
  • Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
  • Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
  • Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
