Job Description

Paramount is looking for a Manager in their Accounting Division! This position plays a key role in the Studio accounting and corporate controllership areas. Duties include reviewing and posting journals, reporting, analysis, and related tasks. In addition, this position will be an integral part of preparing the support for reporting to Paramount Global. This position reports to the Paramount Director of Accounting based in Los Angeles, and there will be significant interaction with Business Unit accounting teams, the planning teams and Paramount Global.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

-  Perform accounting and record keeping functions, including review / posting of journal entries in SAP, reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring clearing of suspense accounts
-  Prepare intercompany confirmation schedules
-  Investigate / resolve monthly intercompany variances with several sister companies
-  Run monthly Studio Project Settlements and Allocation Models
-  Prepare monthly internal Studio gross profit elimination for tech ops, stages and offices
-  Prepare monthly financial supporting schedules for sales and use tax filings
-  Prepare monthly Studio Close Calendar
-  Prepare quarterly Studio Reporting balance sheet deck, balance sheet analysis and other supporting schedules
-  Assist in the preparation and/or consolidation of corporate and external deliverables including lease, related party, balance sheet and other deliverables
-  Review / analyze divisional quarterly and annual disclosures from the various Paramount Pictures Business Units
-  Prepare both monthly and quarterly deliverables for Planning
-  Prepare periodic tax and governmental statistics reports
-  Validate both Quarterly and YTD OI FX Impact File and Earnings Books
-  Assist with both internal and external audit requests
-  Assist corporate and studio controllers with ad hoc projects as needed
-  Supervise, train and mentor staff
-  Ensure compliance with company and Paramount Global policies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance/Business or related field required
-  CPA preferred; Public Accounting Experience strongly preferred
-  Minimum of 7 years related work experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

-  Experience managing a team of 1-2 staff
-  Proficient in financials systems, preferably SAP General Ledger and Hyperion
-  Proficient in financial analysis, U.S. GAAP, accounting close cycle and both internal and external financial reporting
-  Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
-  Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
-  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate change
-  Willing to work based on Los Angeles work hours and overtime to meet deadlines when required
-  Detail oriented and possess strong analytical and organizational skills
-  Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines
-  Experience in the Entertainment and Media industry preferred

Hiring Salary Range: $85,600.00 - 107,000.00.
