Job Description
We are looking for a Manager, Music Creative to work out of our NY office in a fast-paced, dynamic, creative environment. This role will report to the Director, Music Creative, Warner Chappell Production Music, and will work closely with the licensing team as well as conducting music searches on a daily basis, catering to all of our US and Canada-based clients in the entertainment and advertising industries.
Here you’ll get to:
- Provide daily music searches for clients, responding knowledgeably and accurately.
- Support the entire Licensing team with their music requests and projects
- Work closely with the Marketing team to curate Featured Playlists for the WCPM site
- Work closely with the Music Production team to research custom music and customization opportunities
- Work with production team to forecast music trends within our industry
- Research music trends of current shows and compile playlists and bins to client pitch
- Assess gaps in catalogs offered
- Assist in A&R for artist catalog, as well as review catalog submissions
We’d love it if you also had:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in music studies
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working for a music library
- Depth of knowledge across music genres
- Ability to work efficiently and well under pressure
- Ability to be professional, efficient and effective when dealing with clients within a creative environment
- Ability to be proactive in servicing clients including anticipating needs of ongoing projects (shows, video games, etc.)
- Prior experience scoring entire programs with production music strongly preferred
- Ability to present and lead discussions analyzing industry music needs
- Capacity to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities
- History and talent for identifying strong creative material with experience in the Entertainment Industry
Effective October 1st, 2023 this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.

Annual Rate: $65,000-$71,000 Annually
