Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Diversity and Community Impact, the Manager, Diversity and Inclusion will navigate relationships and partner with internal NBC Sports business units, divisional HR, Comms and DEI teams and external clients. The Manager will actively contribute to executing on DEI initiatives across our internal and external NBC Sports partnerships and landscapes. The Manager should be passionate about driving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and measuring outcomes, in addition to serving as a champion for innovation, respect, balance and positivity in the workplace. Collaboration will be key, along with a positive, problem-solving attitude in complex and fast-paced situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Act as DEI subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a balanced consultative and systemic approach to enable the organization to integrate inclusion and diversity for global success through strategic and tactical/operational execution challenging biased thinking and behavior
● Act as a liaison for Employee Resource Groups by amplifying activities internally, executing on programming and managing calendar of events for internal use
● Research, analyze, and compile data by measuring and forecasting diversity metrics to inform strategic decisions
● Partner with HR Analytics to utilize metrics for stakeholder adoption, benchmarking enhancements, and continuous improvements
● Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition & Executive Recruiting to inform and establish the external recruitment framework in identifying, sourcing and building diverse talent pipelines and consistently implement diversity hiring practices across NBC Sports business units
● Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partners to drive internal mobility and external candidates to hiring managers across the division, with a specific focus on the attraction and retention of talent, leadership development and networking
● Support the development of new DEI supplier diversity attribution process for sponsors, advertising agencies and clients
● Promote a Culture of Inclusion through communication and engagement encouraging participation in programs that support belonging, community, and inclusion (Employee Resource Groups, Supplier Diversity, Community Impact, Meet The Moment)

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

● Four+ years in progressive Diversity, Human Resources, Talent Development , Social Impact or  Learning & Development experience within a matrix/complex environment
● Strong analytical skills with a successful track record of developing, launching and measuring effective DE&I strategies, programs and networks
● Demonstrated ability to affect organizational change
● Trusted advisor with the ability to influence while building and maintaining trust from the highest, executive levels to entry-level; able to influence important decisions
● Strong visual storytelling and skilled with MS Office programs – Powerpoint/Outlook/ Word/ Excel/Teams
● Ability to adapt, problem solve and anticipate potential needs in a very fast-paced environment while managing a heavy workload.
● Ability to expand capacity to take on new projects as they arise.
● Highly detail-oriented, paying meticulous attention to multiple tasks.
● An understanding and passion for DEI best practices, creating solutions to drive results and change within the Global Advertising & Partnerships ecosystem.
● Requires a high level of discretion and the ability to manage confidential information, exercise sound judgment and manage risk
● Ability to manage projects and initiatives from initial development to final execution

● Strong consulting and project management capability – ability to manage multiple work streams
● Public speaking experience in small and large group forums, and excellent presentation and facilitation skills
● Proven background in communicating and influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders resulting in mutually beneficial outcomes
● Experience in DEI, talent development, recruiting, human resources, employee engagement or data management a plus
● Creative and passionate about creating and implementing an inclusive culture

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT with a hybrid workforce schedule
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
