Job Description

Are you an animation wizard who follows the latest trends and styles to explore new looks and techniques? Can you design a logo in illustrator and make it come to life in After Effects? Are you a master manipulator of type and imagery who can add drama and impact to news promotion? If so, we want you on the 12News team!

Responsibilities
  • We’re looking for a creative and strategic individual to work on design and production of motion graphics for marketing, news content, television commercials and digital projects for 12News, 12Sports, and community projects.
  • These include station image campaigns, sports events (including Cardinals Locker Room), news graphics, and digital/social media projects.
  • This role includes designing, color correction, and animation.
  • Please provide a link to your demo reel showcasing the best examples of your work.
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of color theory, composition, typography, and animation
  • Highly organized with a sharp eye for every detail and pixel
  • Manage, prioritize, and track multiple projects while still meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and under deadline pressure
  • Independently identify, assess, and solve problems or improve processes
  • Lighting, videography, and audio skills a plus
  • 3D, print design skills, and photo editing/re-touching a plus
  • Degree in fine arts or design or equivalent experience
  • Portfolio that shows demonstrated skills with motion/graphic design, and video editing.
  • Experience working in a broadcast or creative/agency environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
  • Must be willing to work full time in downtown Phoenix, AZ. This is not a remote position; however, occasional hybrid work is possible
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours when needed, including nights, weekends, or holidays
  • Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
  • Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
  • Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
