Mixer

Radio One is currently looking for a Part-Time Mixer to join our Baltimore team! A Mixer performs activities in the radio studio and control room to ensure technical quality of sound for programs originating in the studio, syndications, and/or from remote pickup points.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

·         Airing live and pre-recorded shows  
·         All commercials and promos as scheduled  
·         Completing traffic log and logging discrepancies  
·         Airing emergency alert system tests as indicated  
·         Engineering remote broadcasts and following station procedures  

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:  

·         Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time  
·         Self-starter with the ability to take and follow direction  
·         Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners  
·         Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team  
·         Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move up to 50 lbs     

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED);  
·         Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
·         Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
