Are you ready to modernize what a typical news editing looks like? The Special Projects Editor is responsible for combining video, audio, and graphic elements to create compelling stories that stand out from the crowd. This position will also create and edit templates for wider team use.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Capture visual content and edit short- and long-form stories.
- Work with producers to ensure a high-quality product.
- Use editing and graphic design programs to create unique and eye-catching stories.
- Operate various news-gathering equipment.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing, including Final Cut Pro.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Associate's degree in journalism or related field.
- 3 years experience in related field preferred.
