Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Seeking a writer to support our afternoon and evening newscasts.
- This is an excellent position for someone looking to gain writing and producing experience in a top-rated newsroom.
- Writer must have strong journalism skills, understand writing for television newscasts, work under tight deadlines, build graphics and collaborate with producers and assignment desk.
- Writer will be trained to produce newscasts and will fill-in on occasion.
- Only candidates interested in producing will be considered.
- Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma is required;
- 4-year College degree is preferred.
- Experience with iNews or other newscast software is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $30.44-43.45 per hour for California.
