Summary
KRON4, the San Francisco Bay Area’s Local News Station, seeks a Political Producer. This position is responsible to oversee Nexstar’s statewide Inside California Politics show and statewide town hall specials. This includes all political content creation for Nexstar California markets. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with a team across the state that includes anchors, reporters, producers, production, as well as a digital content on all the stations’ websites and social media.

KRON4, the San Francisco Bay Area’s Local News Station, seeks a Political Producer. This position is responsible to oversee Nexstar’s statewide Inside California Politics show and statewide town hall specials. This includes all political content creation for Nexstar California markets. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with a team across the state that includes anchors, reporters, producers, production, as well as a digital content on all the stations’ websites and social media.
This will be a full time, non-union, non-exempt position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Oversee weekly 30-minute statewide show.
Knowledge of state government, current events.
Coordinate with other producers, show anchors on story development.
Ability to schedule interviews and maintain political contacts.
Ability to write compelling scripts and teases.
Experience editing with desktop software and timing a live newscast.
Must be a self-starter, organized, have a great attitude and be versatile and efficient.
Management Reserves the discretion to add or modify job duties as required
