Job Description

NewsNation, the country’s fastest-growing cable news network, is looking for a Operations Senior Project Manager to join our Creative Marketing’s Design team. Candidates possess excellent design and organizational skills, the ability to manage projects through production and delivery, experience leading and assigning graphic designers, with an emphasis on design standards and productivity.

ROLE

Operations Senior Project Manager will focus primarily on the developing efficient, productive high level operational workflow and delivery of projects for the Design Department within NewsNation Creative Marketing, including assignments related to on-air graphics for news programming (graphics packages templates, franchises, etc.), graphics for on-air promotion, supervision of the Graphics partition of the Digital Asset website, and support for Creative Marketing clients’ projects, including Sales, PR, Affiliate Relations, and other Nexstar properties on an as-needed basis. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Project manage the workflow of all on-air graphics, including, but not limited to new show packages, marketing campaigns (print/digital), upfronts, social media campaigns, special reports, special programming, franchise and holiday packages, live events, on the ground activations and WGN radio needs.
· Responsible for being the main point person for all design related requests that fall outside of daily design requests, and assigning projects to design team members, along with scope of project as defined by stakeholder, Creative Director and Head of Design.
· Coordinate with the Head of Design, Creative Directors, Graphics Automation Specialist, graphic designers, and show teams to manage all workflow and deliverables for various design-related needs such as on-air graphics, franchise graphics, print, video, promos & Ross Expression templates.
· Create and manage project timelines, production schedules, from conception to final deliverable. 
· Assign and track all projects graphics assets and timelines, ensuring that all assets are delivered on time.
· Communicate with designers and contributors to maintain deadlines and keep projects on task.
· Analyze and develop operational workflows and implement these solutions to improve efficiency.
· Develop quantifiable and measurable systems that inform ways to increase productivity.
· Keep Creative Director and key stakeholders informed of all project status at regular intervals.
· Oversee scheduling of design and motion team.
· Travel related to projects, events and launches is necessary.
· Mentor up and coming project managers and designers to improve project management skills.
· Oversee the maintenance of DAM website and processes.
· Report to the Creative Director, Design for NewsNation Creative Marketing 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

· Highly organized. Able to manage many projects at one time.
· Strong communication skills for establishing expectations, deadlines and processes with multiple designers, operators, and stakeholders.
· Familiar with project management processes and software.
· Requires 8-10 years Creative Services experience in on-air, cable, or broadcast environment, boutique agency, or post-production house. Typically, would include design/art direction, hands-on production, and project management.
· Technical proficiency in graphics software, with emphasis on Adobe Creative Cloud, complete command of graphic design file formats, and application across multiple media (video, print, internet, etc.), website development and functionality a plus.

Salary range - $100,000 - $140,000 annualized
