Perform duties for lighting, field lighting, grip work and studio maintenance.

Key Activities

Take charge of the placement and operation of backgrounds, platform and risers used in the television studio.
Operate and program studio dimmer boards.
Follow rundowns and execute lighting cues during live and recorded programs and productions.
Rig and focus lights and install set pieces.
May work on remote lighting projects requiring loading gear and location setup.
Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience/Certifications

Skills & Abilities

Must have a good understanding of television lighting methods and lighting instruments used in both studio and remote productions
Working knowledge of current studio and remote lighting equipment to accomplish daily preparation and production of news and other progress to service the station
Should have good production skills and work well under pressure
Ability to work with a variety of staff from all departments
Must be reliable, dependable possess a willingness to learn
Ability to climb ladders

Work Environment

Position involves studio work and field productions
May include standing for many hours, operating human lift equipment, climbing stairs and ladders and lifting
Requires flexible hours including holidays and weekends

Additional Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.
