CBS New York, the #1 station in the portfolio of Paramount-owned television stations, is looking for the next generation of video editors!
The successful candidate will have expertise in the complete life cycle of media assets, from taking in video feeds and editing to assisting with video asset archival/retention and searches.
Core responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have expertise in the complete life cycle of media assets, from taking in video feeds and editing to assisting with video asset archival/retention and searches.
Core responsibilities:
- Editing video for newscasts, specials and other projects
- Operating the content nerve center of the newsroom (TOC/Microwave) to take in feeds, position cameras, run crawls for breaking news & weather alerts
- Manage feed requests from Newspath and others
- Fulfill requests to license archival footage
- Must be creative and collaborative
- Must be willing to work off-hours, including holidays and weekends
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Grass Valley, Adobe & Avid
- Knowledge of media management
- Experience working on documentaries
- Experience and interest in end to end content creation
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the IBEW

Hiring Salary Range: $50,888.00 - 111,811.00.
