Job Description
We're looking for a talented Pipeline Technical Director - come join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the development, maintenance and optimization of Guru’s USD pipeline extending existing assets workflows into Houdini look development, lighting and rendering.
- Maintain and extend existing software solutions such as local Shotgrid automation, Deadline and GitLab.
- Problem solve day-to-day pipeline issues that arise during the course of production.
- Create/update/add pipeline tools to enhance and streamline new and existing workflows with a focus on automation.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to establish methodologies and workflow that meet the requirements of each production.
- Develop and implement technical documentation, training and documentation to enhance skill-sets within the studio.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IT to help identify the source issues and validate solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience building USD-based pipelines and using Houdini Solaris are a strong plus.
- Minimum 3 years of TD experience in a CG environment.
- Experience with and proven working knowledge of Maya, Nuke and RedShift.
- Python experience required.
- GIT, Perforce or other version control system.
- Experience designing user interfaces.
- Ability to work and interface with IT.
- C/C++ or other object-oriented programming language an asset
