Job Description

MSG Ventures is looking for a Student Associate to join a groundbreaking post-production department based in Los Angeles. This position would be on the operational side of post, responsible for assisting the Director Post Operations in facilitating work across the technical departments – Dailies, Editorial, Color, Visual Effects and Sound. Daily duties would range from supporting production meetings to general media management and overall process coordination and tracking. Additional responsibilities include assisting with reviews and helping to manage remote review and playback systems. This role would be on site at our studio in Burbank, CA.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting production meetings
  • Helping to manage overall department coordination
  • Tracking workflow and task completion
  • Managing media
  • Assisting with internal and external reviews
What do you need to succeed?
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Avid, and the Adobe Creative Suite of products.
  • Experience with standard encoding and compression methods and techniques.
  • Understanding of media formats used in production and post-production.
  • Experience in production and post production is desired.
  • Experience with VR or 360º content is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and AirTable a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, follow through, and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take criticism, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Must take a proactive and initiative driven approach.
Availability: 
  • Must be available to work minimum 21 hours a week (3 business days)/maximum 35 hours a week. Must be available October 2024 – April 2025.
  • Role is based in Burbank, CA. No location flexibility.
