Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Develops and organizes newscasts or local programs; responsible for writing, story development and showcasing
- Collaborates with reporters, anchors, news managers and assignment editors to determine content needs
- Enhances the content with graphics, video, research, and station branding
- Executes time sensitive decisions
- Responsible for oversight of live broadcast and up to the minute editorial decisions
- Performs desktop editing
- Posts content to station's Web sites
- Attend Sales Client Meetings with Account Executives
- Performs other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a television writer or producer
- Experience with lifestyle/sales related program production a plus

- Excellent conversational, creative writing, organizational and attention to detail skills.

- Working knowledge of journalistic ethics and libel laws and strong editorial judgement
- Must be proficient with final cut and or adobe premiere editing systems, MS Office, MS Word
