Job Description
A production artist is expected to be a creatively resourceful, organized, and a highly collaborative team player eager to engage in a communication driven and quick-turn Creative Solutions department. This individual works closely with other Digital Designers and Copywriters under the supervision of the Art Director.
The Production Artist will be expected to:
- Design and collaborate with Copywriters, Digital Designers, and the Art Director to support creative campaigns
- Design and layout for both print and digital platforms
- Work within a design system to execute deliverables for a custom CMS
- Help fulfill all project requests across the brand portfolio
- Work and communicate directly with stakeholders to execute on deliverables
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 2 years of education in digital design or Associate's Degree and 1 year of relevant work experience
- Proficient with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud; specifically, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Foundational knowledge of typography standards, file management, and print & digital production
- Ability to execute feedback and be flexible to change and adapt quickly
- Comprehensive project planning skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines that may shift other priorities
- Knowledge of best practices and experience with responsive design
- Preliminary understanding of strategic advertising design
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Educated level in basic grammar, spelling and communication; some light copywriting and editing a bonus
- Works fast and dependably with a keen ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Works well with others; handles edits, changes and updates professionally
- Demonstrates and maintains consistent graphic standards to uphold brand integrity across the portfolio
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge of sports—playing, following, industry—a plus
- Must be willing to work in Minneapolis, MN office
