Job Description
WPXI TV Pittsburgh is looking for a Production Assistant who will assist in all phases of commercial and studio production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate crews for productions
- Order, set up, and break down craft services for productions
- Purchase and return props for productions
- Produce and co-produce weekly shows
- Create and fill out paperwork including, but not limited to, call sheets, contracts, and schedules
- Assist producers and editors throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production process
- Assist with setting up new vendors in the payroll system
- Communicate necessary production information such as scripts and schedules to crew members and talent agents
- Operate teleprompter when needed
- Keep track of expenses and compile monthly expense reports
- Regularly update crew lists and rates
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- College degree
- Experience with on site production
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years previous studio camera production experience preferred
