Job Description
This position may include night, weekend or overnight hours.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Edit video clips, packages, and correspondent debriefs.
- Encode and distribute video clips to stations and clients.
- Research and fulfill video archive requests from affiliates.
- Research and gather video for correspondents, producers, and editors as needed.
- Handle affiliate news beat calls and video gathering on weekends.
- Produce correspondent live shots in the newsroom.
- Provide support for ABC News Clients during nights and weekends.
- Switch out live feeds to affiliates and clients.
- Communicate editorial and operational information to affiliates and clients
- Occasionally shoot video in the field.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a news environment
- Must be able to work independently and think critically in a high-stress environment, while under deadline pressure
- Must be able to edit (Avid strongly preferred)
- Must have strong research skills, excellent written and verbal skills and display sound editorial judgment
- Must have strong customer service skills
- Experience shooting video preferred
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
