Job Description

The Production and Commissioning Operations team play a fundamental role in the commissioning process, ensuring that all programming is budgeted, scheduled, and managed in line with both the needs of the production company and Paramount. The department also provides vital operational support to ensure the company’s operations are running efficiently and effectively.

The Production Finance Coordinator is a key contributor to the efficient financial operations of the Production and Commissioning Operations team. In this role, the primary focus is on overseeing finance-related aspects, including program creation, purchase order (PO) setup, invoice management, and payment administration.

What will you be doing?
  • Collaborate with Production Executives and Programme Managers to initiate and set up programs in the financial system
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial details for each program
  • Manage the creation and tracking of purchase orders for all programming costs as per the agreed cashflow
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure POs align with budgetary requirements
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of invoice handling, from receipt to verification and approval
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies in invoicing
  • Play a central role in coordinating payment processes, ensuring adherence to payment schedules and terms
  • Monitor and track payment approvals and disbursements
  • Act as the primary contact for inquiries related to production payments
  • Address and resolve payment-related queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Generate and maintain reports on payment amounts, issues, and cash position.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding the financial status of ongoing productions
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations in all finance-related activities
  • Contribute to internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Collaborate with the broader finance department to streamline processes and enhance overall financial efficiency
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to address financial and payment-related challenges.
What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in a finance or payments role within a production or entertainment environment
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in using financial software and tools for reporting
  • Confidence in working with a variety of IT systems and software - with proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a strong knowledge of Excel
  • A rigorous and methodical approach to work, incorporating attention to detail and quality control in all tasks, while understanding the impact of downstream workflows
  • Excellent teamwork and project management skills
  • A self-starting and proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Effective multitasking and prioritisation skills
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to identify and address potential issues.
