Job Description

America’s Test Kitchen is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Public Relations Intern. As a PR intern, you will work closely with our PR and Communications Director to support various public relations initiatives to help build and maintain the image and reputation of America’s Test Kitchen. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of public relations.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and identify potential opportunities from media outlets, journalists, influencers, podcasters, and/ bloggers.
  • Monitor, track, and report on media and influencer mentions.
  • Assist with media outreach and follow-up
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices of Public Relations.
  • Support the coordination of media interviews, and events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and develop content for PR purposes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of AP Style and basic understanding of media relations.
  • Interest in food is a plus!
Commitment:
  • 15-20 hours per week
  • 1-2 days per week in our Boston, MA office
  • July - flexible end date (3-6 months desired time-frame)
