Job Description
Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Publicity Coordinator to support the Magnolia Network media relations team.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Support Director of Publicity in overall media strategy for network original series/talent and collaborate with Magnolia on key press moments across the entire company throughout the year.
- Lead pitching efforts for national and local press for projects while also collaborating with marketing, social and talent relations teams for special events.
- Maintain day-to-day communication with PR agency for pitching, incoming press requests and press material distribution.
- Draft press releases, listings, tune-ins and media alerts.
- Update and maintain the Magnolia Network/WBD press site with press materials.
- Participate in brainstorming meetings and help develop strategies and positioning.
- Pitch asset exclusives, trailer debuts and features to various broadcast and print outlets with PR agency.
- Maintain and update various department and team calendars with ongoing publicity activities.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, glam services and itineraries for talent and as needed cover talent during press days, junkets, phone/zoom interviews, etc.
- Process invoices and expense reports.
- Assist with planning, staffing, logistics and talent and media relations for press events, including Upfront, network activations at the Silos in Waco, junkets, photo shoots, press trips etc.
- Support the PR teams with administrative support including but not limited to clip pulls, photo requests, budgets and talent travel.
- Support select network talent relations responsibilities, including maintaining talent contact sheets; assisting with talent gifting for special occasions; sending and tracking responses to talent questionnaires; and maintaining regular talent social media asset delivery
Qualifications & Experience...
- College degree in Communications or a similar field preferred
- 2-4 years related experience in an in-house or agency setting preferred
- Must have ability to organize & schedule work effectively
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work autonomously
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly responsible, discreet and sensitive to quick turnaround deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and ability to anticipate needs a plus
- Proficiency in G Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with social media as it relates to consumer outreach
- Strong interest in public relations/communications and entertainment/pop culture
Pay Range: $35,360 - $62,679.00 salary per year.
