Job Description

We are excited to announce a new internship opportunity where the Scenic Production intern will have a unique learning experience that entails working with both the Scenic and Scene Shop departments and all that they offer in a broadcasting environment.

The QVC Scenic Production department is comprised of two departments that are responsible for the final look of how the studios sets are presented. Scenic Styling is a team of set stylists that prop, decorate and furnish all of the on-air sets in QVC’s main broadcasting headquarters in West Chester Pennsylvania and the Scene shop is a team of Production Artisans that construct all of the sets and different furniture and props.

QVC is providing a full-time, paid summer internship that runs from 5/20/2024 to 8/09/2024. With a weekly commitment working onsite Monday through Friday.

Your Impact
Set and Props:
  • Check program guide, Quintiq, Studio Grid and PALs for the day ahead.
  • Asset Maintenance (eg: furniture polishing, scuff fixing, leg tightening.)
  • Assist live team with daily programming scenic needs.
  • Partner with Stylists on a section of asset storage spaces.
Scene Shop:
  • Set walk throughs for touch up needs.
  • Learn how to construct basic flats for set walls, small prop building, AutoCAD drafting, vinyl cutting and application, CNC routing and design and 3d printing.
What You Bring
  • You must be a Junior, Senior or Graduate student enrolled in an accredited college, university or master's program.
  • QVC will consider students who have completed at least four semesters of college in the following majors: Business Administration, Business Management, Operations, International Business, Marketing, Communications, and Merchandising.
  • Experience in the following preferred: A general understanding of broadcasting and scenic styling knowledge and a basic understanding of set construction.
